Andrew Dean is a stipendiary lecturer in modern literature at St John’s College, University of Oxford. He will begin at University College London as a Junior Research Fellow in October 2018. He recently completed his doctorate in English literature at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on post-Second World War literature, life-writing, and metafiction. Andrew is the author of the bestselling 2015 book, Ruth, Roger and Me: Debts and Legacies (Bridget Williams Books). The work examines the lives and experiences of those brought up in the wake of New Zealand’s economic reforms of the 1980s and 1990s, and features interviews with major figures from the period.
