Andrew Dean is a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies at University College London. He recently completed his doctorate in English literature at the University of Oxford in 2017. His research has focused on (1) post-Second World War metafiction, and (2) comedy. Andrew is the author of the bestselling 2015 book, Ruth, Roger and Me: Debts and Legacies (Bridget Williams Books). The work examines the lives and experiences of those brought up in the wake of New Zealand’s economic reforms of the 1980s and 1990s, and features interviews with major figures from the period.
